Help us to make a difference
We are an award-winning, all-volunteer charity which promotes well-being benefits to the community, by providing affordable canal boat trips for all. We enable everyone including the disadvantaged, the elderly, individuals with physical or learning disabilities along with youth groups to experience the fun and beauty of our waterways.
As a charity with no paid staff, some 150 volunteers deliver the full spectrum of functions, keeping running costs low and resulting in a lean, cost effective organisation. Our main outgoings are maintenance and general running costs for our three boats, along with other sundry costs.
We rely on donations to help fund the following activities:
- Free ‘Enable’ trips
- Subsidised or free ‘taster’ day trips for school ‘special needs’ classes
- Exceptional costs such as major repairs and refurbishments to the boats
- Capital projects to enhance the experience that we’re able to offer our clients
